What GLP-1 medications are, in general
GLP-1 is a hormone the body makes naturally. A group of prescription medicines is designed to act on the same pathway. Examples of active ingredients in the class include semaglutide, liraglutide and tirzepatide.
In the United States these are prescription-only medicines. Like any prescription medicine, they can cause side effects and they are not suitable for everyone. A licensed clinician explains the possible effects and risks before anything is prescribed.
That is all this page says about the medicines themselves. It makes no claims about what any medicine will or will not do for a particular person.
Who decides
Only a licensed clinician can decide whether a GLP-1 medication is appropriate, after reviewing your health history, your current medicines and your questions. A website, a coach or a sales page cannot make that decision and should not try to. If you are already taking any medicine, keep following your clinician's advice.

How the Program Works
Every person's health and wellness needs are different. A GLP-1 wellness program may involve the following steps, depending on the services offered by the provider.

1. Initial Consultation
Share your questions and wellness goals with a qualified healthcare professional. They can review your health history and discuss whether further evaluation is appropriate.

2. Personalized Plan
Based on your individual needs, a healthcare professional can discuss suitable next steps. These may include lifestyle guidance, nutrition education, or a medical evaluation to determine whether prescription treatment is appropriate.

3. Ongoing Support
Wellness programs may offer follow-up conversations to review progress, discuss questions, and adjust lifestyle goals as needed. Any medical treatment and monitoring should be managed by a qualified healthcare professional.
